Where is My AMHA Membership Card? AMHA News Desk If you have renewed your AMHA membership for 2012 and are wondering where your membership card is, have no fear. Memberships renewed in November, December and January have been processed, and cards are in the mail. The newly designed cards will now contain two cards for your use and can take anywhere from two to four weeks to arrive. If you do not receive your card by the end of February, give the office a call at 802-985-4944 and we will send you a replacement.More

AMHA to Recognize Half Morgans in New Competition Program AMHA News Desk AMHA is pleased to recognize half Morgan horses as part of a new competition program. Horses that have either a registered Morgan sire or dam are eligible to participate in AMHA’s Half Morgan Competition Program for awards and recognition. The program is divided into five distinct divisions: open show, dressage, carriage/CDE, eventing and endurance/competitive trail. Horses are accepted in the program by an initial enrollment fee with nominal renewal fees annually thereafter.More

Club News: Morgan Dressage Association 2011 Awards of Excellence AMHA News Desk Founded in 1999, the Morgan Dressage Association has members across the United States and Canada that include United States Dressage Federation All-Breeds Award winners and AMHA Open Competition champions, as well as riders who focus on dressage at local schooling shows and in the comfort of their own barns and backyards. The MDA also strongly supports breeders whose interest is producing Morgans for dressage.More

US Saddle Seat World Cup Trial Participants Announced AMHA News Desk One Morgan rider will compete in the U.S. Saddle Seat World Cup Team Selection Trials held at William Woods University in Fulton, Miss., on March 31 in hopes of earning a spot on the U.S. Saddle Seat World Cup Team. The Saddle Seat World Cup consists of a three-gaited and a five-gaited competition. At these trials, five team members and one alternate will be selected for each team. Athletes selected will represent the United States in December’s International Saddle Seat World Cup competition in South Africa.More

WWU’s Lampe Honored as Icon of Education AMHA News Desk Gayle Lampe, professor emeritus of equestrian studies at William Woods University, has been named an “Icon of Education” by Ingram’s, Kansas City’s business magazine. What the magazine calls an “impressive lineup” was published in the January issue. Lampe was one of nine Missouri and Kansas leaders chosen for the honor.More

Call 1-800-771-7711 to make your reservation. Sale catalogs for the New York Stallion Service Auction were mailed on Jan. 23 to all breeders who do not have an email address. Electronic catalogs are being e-blasted by Horse Show Wire this week. If you would like to have a catalog mailed to you, call 724- 946-0023 or send an email to Garrow4668atcomcast.net.
